This is bad. Everytime I go out, I buy something.

And to think I was so proud of myself for not buying anything today. At 10.30pm I walked into Diva and bought 2 rings. -.-''

But aren't they pretty???

And that's not all! When I got home, I blogshopped and bought these two dresses from one of my favourite blogshops Intoxiquette. I love their workwear.. ^_^

And to top off my shopping spree for today.. I went and bought an organiser for $18 from Aruoie. They ship in super cute stationery from Korea. Tricia bought one too! Mine's the orange one.

Nostalgia

I've always felt a little mehhhh about christmas. I don't know exactly why.. It's like a lot of things to be done.. A lot of gatherings to go to. And most of the time you do random small talk/catching up that seem so meaningless to repeat year after year.

But somehow, between my family xmas and cross xmas celebrations, as well as giving a few select friends christmas cards and gatherings.. I feel like I've had an amazing xmas holiday. (: I didn't step into any club to partayy, I did not drink (ok two wineglasses worth), I did not do any countdown.. I did not do any of those typical activities people my age do.. yet I feel strangely content and happy... and a little saddened that the christmas season is over.

I know I like my blog to be about frivolous things. Mostly pictures of good times and shared experiences that make me happy to read again. Apparently this season brings out all the deeper feelings and emotions that I normally would not display lol.

Christmas with my family (part i)

For every year of my past twenty-three years, Christmas eve has always been a family affair. As kids, we would get presents all wrapped up and waiting for us under the Christmas tree from all our uncles and aunties as well as our parents' family friends. Simple things like barbie dolls, beads or accessories, and clothes were more than enough to satisfy our young little hearts. Mum would always have the tree up in November, slowing building up our excitement towards the final day as more decorations were added and more presents were gathered below the tree. On the day itself, we would reacquaint ourselves with all the relatives and cousins, answering questions about what we've been up to in the past year, and singing songs together on the karaoke system. Once the clock struck midnight, "We wish you a merry christmas" would come blasting out of the speakers, our aunts and uncles would come and give us a merry christmas hug as well as present us with our gifts.. And once all the fanfare was over, we would rush to our rooms to count the number of presents we had, barely restraining ourselves from tearing them open before all the guests have left.

Gosh I miss those days... I LOVED Chirstmas so damn much.

Now.. three of my uncles don't attend anymore. My younger (favourite) cousins either come very late or don't come at all. The karaoke system is spoilt most of the time and we don't do very much talking. Mum's tree comes up barely a week before christmas and gifts are wrapped only on the day itself! Presents have become a very cold-blooded practical affair where we either get money, or we're given a budget to buy whatever we want.

On one hand, I hate receiving gifts that don't suit me so I must admit I have supported this new system of picking out things I like. On the other, it's as though my relatives have never really bothered to know me.. And  it just makes me sad. :(

Owell... This post does sound rather dreary even though I still enjoyed myself at our christmas celebration ahaha. Pictures will come another day considering the time now! =X

Christmas came early!

Woots Chirstmas came early this year. :D

My first xmas present of the year was a $50 gift from xiuting.. Eyelash extensions. I thought it was going to be quite painless and really pretty. Well.... I got half right ahahah. It was super painful to put on coz my eyes are super sensitive. And they still hurt coz the lashes are abit stiff! so they kinda like poke into my eyes. It's still pretty uncomfortable a few days after they've been put on. >.< Everytime I shower the water will go into my eyes coz I am unable to rub my eyes properly. Plus I don't dare put too heavy makeup too coz it would be hard to remove.

That said, I think I look really pretty with the extensions though and am very glad to have tried this at least once in my life hurhur. XD It's so hassle free I don't even really need to put on much makeup when I go out now..

I think it's pretty obvious here in this pic with momo-chan. ;) I have no makeup on..

My second xmas present is from Ahyee (my mum's second sister). She gave me a budget of $50-70 to get whatever I wanted! xD so nice right?? I love these kind of gifts. So I spent the whole evening today helping my mum look for presents for my cousins as well as my own xmas present. :P

Here's me in f21 trying on $11 and $15 skirts! They're so pretty!! but yay i managed to restrain myself LOLLLL.

In the end.. I finally decided on a pair of boots and a necklace from New Look! My new favourite store! :D

So that's two presents. The third and most recent one came in the mail today. Our Lovebonito stuff arrived wootsss~!!

Anyways... As tiring a day as it was today, I enjoyed myself heehee. :D Spent a whole evening with mei which I have not done in eons. She's been too busy/stressed etc and so have I.. well not stressed but busy ahaha.

Sebastian's farewell (22nd Dec)

I happened to run into Sebas sometime last week at some chance event.. The first thing he said to me was I'm leaving soon. Hahahh talk about random. I thought he meant he was rushing off somewhere or somthing.. :P turns out he was going on NOC to Silicon Valley in ten days! So I suggested we meetup soon..

So I met up with Sebas and Eunice to go Ikea on Monday.. And again today with LQ coz he just got back from Japan..
