Gosh I feel like I've been going out every night and neglecting this space. Gotta sweep away the thick layer of dust collecting here hehhh. =X

So I'll shortly summarize a few events here heehee. Or maybe split them up into little posts. I havent really decided yet..

Lunch with the colleagues

Lunch with my colleagues has become a weekly affair. At least among the few of us girls. We would usually bring our Indian colleague to go try different cuisines as she is not very adventurous with the local fare. After weeks of trying thai, western, and jap food, it was time for her to bring us to eat Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, she doesnt really know of many good Indian restaurants to eat, so we asked our guy colleagues along to recommend a good one to us. :)

I forgot the name of the restaurant though.. =X I just know it's along boat quay. I like Indian food btw, so I was really excited! And I gave some suggestions as to what to order! (: sadly for them, we couldn't have the food too spicy coz I got low tolerance for spicy hehh.

Dinner at Paradise Dynasty

I went out with Xiuting that same day (so I'm wearing the same dress hahah). We both bought this groupon thing together to try a set xlbs for $7.80. So cheap!

Dots I happily blogged an entry on my phone and didn't save it. Well done.

This is supposed to be a happy post but I'm quite irritated with my stupidity so pardon the tone =/

I was supposed to meet 2 friends today, but they cancelled on me and suddenly my program for the day was empty. Normally I would mope at home and waste the whole afternoon away, but today I went out and did quite a few things! Super proud of myself (:

I recently signed up for a package for 10 ipl sessions (no prizes for guessing where), and I was due for my next visit but couldn't seem to find the time. So awesome tt when I called at 3.30, they managed to slot me in for a 4.45 slot (:

After that, I bought koi and did some shopping in bugis street. (:(:(: I bought a bag for $26, originally priced at $35. The lady thot I was a student and took pity on me. And then I bought 3 sets of earrings for $5. 3sets not pairs coz one had 4 earrings, and one had 3! (:(:

To end the day, I took the bus straight to queenstown library to borrow some books. One book is photoshop for dummies, another the secrets to angels & demons. (: (: (: I hope I have time to read everything.

Was too lazy to walk home so I self-invited myself to dinner w jie and her church friends. At holland v now, dinner now! (:

The simple things

I'm blogging from my phone now. (:

I had met up w Nyein last night for dinner and a bit of shopping. We were supposed to go for a movie, but there weren't many good movies showing in the evening with a decent timing.

So basically we spent the evening just talking over dinner, and shopping at watsons! Hahah shopping is really much more fun when you're with another girl who appreciates the same things you do. (: We oooh-ed and ahhh-ed over the same things and listened to each other's opinion on the different products. It totally made our little shopping trip a really fun experience (:

It's the simple things like this that make me feel that life isn't so aimless and empty. It's in friends like these that make me feel anchored and appreciated just by the simple fact of who you are and not what you are.

My Busy 2 weeks!

These two weeks have been really busy! I've been catching up with different groups of friends I haven't seen in awhile. I went out almost every night, but some days I really really had to stay home and recuperate. My body is so weak, I feel like I'm going to fall sick any time. :(

That said, I really enjoyed all these small gatherings. I missed many of these friends, but sometimes it's really hard to keep in close contact and be updated of everything that's going on in their lives.

Aiya I shan't talk of depressing stuff anymore. This is quite a happy post full of many small events! ;)


Espen's Visit

I met Espen on exchange in Germany. He wasn't like all the other exchange students, only interested in drinking and partying. He was a deeper kind of intellectual and really sincere, a quality quite rare among many of the other exchange students in my university.

Anyways, I love it when my friends from overseas come visit and I have awesome fun bringing them around Singapore! This time was no different. :) I brought him to to watch a movie at cathay. We watched Thor (which was SO awesome btw). I brought him to eat all kinds of food, bcoz sg is like foodie hub yah?! We ate Japanese food on the 1st night, which he really loved and laksa YUMS! His friend, Tale said that laksa was her favourite food! Made me so happy she liked it so much. (: I even brought them to eat the super popular Fish soup at Arcade hahah coz they came to meet me in Raffles Place.

JC Class Outing

After the outing with my lovelies Nyein and Fahreen, Nyein posted a status on fb saying she had a good time w us. Awww <3! So happy hahah. Then Leroy commented on the post, initiating a meetup. So he organised one for us at Playnation. (:

Popo's Birthday

My popo turned 81 last weekend. I attended it with a heavy heart.. :/ She predicted this cny to be her last, so in the back of everyone's mind (at least mine), we were worried for her and hoping that she would enjoy her remaining days (and hopefully years).

Mother's Day

This mother's day was a super last minute affair. Jie forgot all about it, and I think I was having one of those angsty emo spells so wasn't in a mood to plan anything. :x We eventually decided on Sun w Moon Dining coz mum had super alot of vouchers (so dinner was really cheap heehee), and we were really lucky they could slot us in when we called at 5pm. heh.

Their Chawanmushi is the best I've ever eaten in Singapore...

And to end off the wonderful dinner, they own homemade Tofu cheesecake in Sesame! It was pretty good, tho I prefer the original..

Chillax Saturday

I had a super chillax Saturday with Dex today. (: He's finally back from exchange (actually quite a long time ago haha) and he actually smsed me yesterday to let me know our group of friends were going for supper. But I couldn't make it and I jio-ed him to come out today instead. Spent the afternoon eating xlbs, which are mad love ahhh they made me super happy, drinking coffee and catching up.

Haven't had sucha relaxing afternoon in awhile. I really enjoy such afternoons when you have no plans and you can sit there ALL DAY hahaha.
