Today was a very eventful day!
I finally finally finally got to meet up with Xiuting! I haven't seen her in the longest time! :((( Our friendship is pretty unique and special. I don't know how we became to be the good friends that we are and mean to each other, but we just met through friends of friends, and working together on projects in year one.. And in the subsequent years, we did not need to meet up often, but we were pretty much there for one another when it did matter. (:
Anyway, I psycho-ed xt to go Mitju warehouse sale with me. WOOTS. ;)
Was supposed to meet her at 11.30am, but as usual, I was late (ugh) and met her at 12. When we reached Mitju, there wasn't much of a queue, so happy us thought we picked the correct brand (as compared to the charles and keith warehouse sale which supposedly had really long queues)

Turned out that half the queue was downstairs, upstairs had another queue just as long, and not forgetting the queue at the cashier! >.< We eventually spent 3 whole hours there at the Mitju sale.. I don't know if it was exactly a waste of time. 3 pairs of shoes at $35 and 1 bag at $20. I think it was a good shopping day tho ahahah, even though the whole time inside the bloody warehouse I felt like I was suffocating. >.<
Once we got out, we sat down at a coffeeshop. We really needed a pick me up coz I hadn't eaten all day! I ordered Lomaikai coz xt said to eat something light coz we were going for dinner soon.
Happy me with my food and shopping. :D
Next we spent another hour or so at the hair salon, coz xt had made a prior appointment to have her haircut, and I already told her I could wait for her so that we could have dinner afterwards. I ended up falling asleep while waiting for her lol. It seemed to take forever, and I was so hungry and tired..
We eventually went to Bugis, where we washed up in the Intercontinental Hotel coz we were so icky from the stoopid warehouse, before walking around and searching for dinner. :PP
I went shutter crazy in the toilet while xt re-applied her makeup. :P
Her new hairdo is quite fashionable! :)
Their decor was really cute. They used wooden baskets (aka Long), to form the backdrop.
We ordered Drunken chicken which was absolute YUMS. I've never tasted drunken chicken that nice before ahahahha.
We also shared a Pork Ribs Lamian. It was very typical but above average. I was very happy with this too! The pork was very tender! ;)
Lastly the Xiaolongbaos! Supposed to be the highlight of the meal, but ended up disappointing. The soup tasted ordinary, and there was a yucky pork smell! So sadded. :(
(it's actually a basket of 6. We each took one before i remembered to take a photo. :P)
May probably go there again for the other dishes especially these two specialty items with crab roe and other fancy things, but won't be going there for normal xiaolongbaos anytime soon..
We took neos after that! yayyyy! (: I love love love taking neos! They're so fun to take and they really capture the fun and crazy element of any friendship. ;)

After dinner, I went off to PS to find my usual gang of friends from Biz. I was really excited and apprehensive at the same time. I haven't hung out with them in a group setting after j and I split, I was afraid it would be very awkward.
But I've realised that coz j and I are still friends, the atmosphere was pretty comfortable. I was happy to meet them. I even joined them for after-dinner activity at Lak's place. Happy happy. (:
