CNY Eve!

It's CNY eve today and i'm really excited for tomorrow! (:

I have my nails done, DIY facial and all my clothes prepped for the next 2 days. (:

So far only eaten 5 pineapple tarts and 1 piece of bak kwa. Can't wait to spam more tomorrow! :D but i'm gonna be wearing my super tight dress from LB so i can't eat much. :( ugh the things I put myself through...

Today mum made prawn noodle soup. It was so yummy and the ingredients were super fresh! (:

Yesterday we had reunion dinner for Dad's side of the family.
It wasn't full strength and I think dad was a little disappointed. :(

Owell.. the dinner still had to go on.
And the upside was at least Melissa came. I think he was really pleased to see her. (:

December 2011 - part 2

I am resolved to do up all my posts on December by this month. I have so freaking many!! o.O

December was pretty cool. (: I got to attend Eric's DND (my company has none), and I finally got to go on the flyer! :D

His DND theme was "Back to School", so I guess I was supposed to wear some kind of uniform inspired outfit.. But I didn't! Hahah I just couldn't! I'm too much of a vainpot to go in anything less than glam for a DND lol.. So both of us ended being one of the most overdressed people to the event!

We were saying how each of us never even win any lucky draw.. and i'm like no la double negative will become a positive! And he really did win a lucky draw that night! hahah he's very happy with it. It's some massage thingy from OSIM. uRelax if i remember correctly...

Short but sweet entry. (: more another day!

December 2011 - part 1

As usual, all events happening in December are lumped into "december" posts coz I don't have time to do all of them individually.

My team held our Xmas dinner on the 13th. Relatively early as a couple of them would be going on block leave until the next year.. We were required to buy 2 gifts.. One as a gift exchange, another as secret Santa. I drew one of the guys, Aaron, and I had quite the headache trying to think of a gift for him. He was still very new at that time and I barely knew him lol.

We had quite alot of fun guessing who gave what present and nobody guessed me as their secret santa lol apparently I don't seem thoughtful enough. The forfeit for guessing the wrong person was treating everyone bubble tea the next week. (: there were a total of 4 ppl who guessed wrongly hahah and I was v happy to try the more expensive flavour for bubble tea the next week. :D

The gift was very well thought out ok??? Even tho it looks really noob, Pencil holder from muji for his messy table. Post-it's to keep him organised. And this zebra keychain from TY with the cutest big glassy eyes and a hairstyle that looks just like his.LOL

The secret Santa gifts was fun, but even better was the gift exchange. Joey's gift was the first gift to be opened and it was snatched 3 times! LOL. in the end i ended up with the it. it was a pair of phillips headphones btw. :D

Other gifts included a water bottle, electronic toothbrush, iphone charger, iphone case, a bottle of wine and bodyshop soaps. Ohooh I bought $15 worth of famous amos cookies which chandra took home in the end. (:

Reunion dinner

We had reunion dinner at Shin Midori last Saturday. It was Japanese buffet, but the kind where u just sit down and order like siao. :P

I really enjoyed the food there :D we spammed sashimi all night, ordered yummy garlic rice, and other staples like chicken teriyaki skewers, tempura prawn and grilled Saba and salmon. I think I managed to try only 1/5 of the whole menu. Things I didn't really like were the agadashi tofu, grilled garlic (no kick) and the chawanmushi which was reallyyyy bad.

The company was really good needless to say. :D I was seated at the kids table so of course the conversation was more fun. As usual the adults all came over trying to join in the fun. I'm so glad I'm not relegated to the adult table yet. That would be really uncomfortable as I would have nothing much to say otherwise I would be repeating the same story over and over where they ask me if I'm still studying or where am I working what am doing now etc..

Anyway I totally forgot to take pictures at the dinner zzz. Was too hungry to take them ahahah. I do have one picture of the garlic rice :D


After dinner, the few of us went to Swirl Art for dessert while the parents went clubbing. Vernette was bringing them to Avatar. O.o dunno why she would wanna bring them there.. It so sleazy. :/

It's such a pretty colour and the cutting looks really good... I hope it fits ahhh..

And I got this from the VL sale.
I've been eyeing this piece for the longest time, but I didn't like it enough to buy it at the full price ahahah.

Wicked!!

I watched Wicked about 2 weeks back and wrote an almost complete entry about it! But silly me, typed it all out in my phone and happily replied a whatsapp without saving it.. *poof* it was all gone. :(

The day I watched wicked was quite a memorable day.. for the oddest reasons.

It was supposed to be a normal day at work, but unfortunately for me it was that time of the month and genius that I was left my painkillers at home. The first 2 hours at work was agony.. In addition to the cramps, I had a bad stomach ache and made frequent trips to the bathroom. I was literally hugging my cushion to my stomach the whole morning.. Finally decided to take half day off and go home.. but before going home, I needed to get my iphone. hehhh. 

It was sucha trial getting my new phone. Earlier that week, I was thinking between the 4 and the 4s and I was pretty much indifferent so I thought why not get the cheaper alternative?? But they didn't have the 4 in white.. and I really wanted the white.. So ok decision made. getting the 4s. Then the trouble came when I was unable to trade in my relatively new samsung. They told me the battery was too swollen and it was rejected. mehhhh.. that phone had a trade in value of $150 so I was pretty devastated. I spent the remainder of the afternoon convincing my mum to let me trade her old 3GS in. After much logical persuasion she said ok. yayyyy right??? The next day, I went back to the shop and they were like.. sorry you can't trade this in coz the charger cable is broken. wtffff -.-"

So that 3rd day, the same day that I was watching Wicked, I was like die die must get phone by today.. Cannottttt tu anymore. I brought my dad's ic, his authorisation letter, and a new charger. I thought.. nothing could possibly go wrong now. I was wrong, yet again. With my cramps, stomach ache and just overall misery.. I waited 45mins at the Starhub centre at MBLM before they told me my phone was rejected, again. They said the home button was not sensitive anymore.... I was in shock and i just couldn't believe the unreality of it. Like I was never going to get a new phone as a 'discount', and if i had to pay $500 for a new phone...well i just wouldn't get one. 

So I gave her my most miserable face, (it wasn't hard given my cramps), and asked her if she could please try again? It's not like the phone was spoilt or anything... and the button still worked! plus i'd been to that same outlet 3 days in a row already.. AND SHE SAID OKKKKK!!! viola that's how i got my new phone *beams*

ok so this story very lorsuo but basically I remember that day vividly coz of my cramps and the new phone lol.

I gave Eric a scare when I arrived at Eunos mrt at 7.05pm i/o 6.45.. The trains were all travelling so slowly and kept stopping in the middle of nowhere. He said if we arrived at the theatre late, they wouldn't let us in! In was an agonising 20min journey and 5min run to the theater but we made it just in time *phew* Shan't be so complacent next time!

Wicked is my all time favourite musical and I was soooooo happy to watch it in Singapore! :DDD I love their songs and they make you feel so happy and optimistic after watching it. 

Dinner was at the Italian restaurant Mozza just across the theatre. 

They had a really nice ambience.. not too quiet not too noisy..

I had the yummiest pizza everrrrr. :D i think we ordered the Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella pizza (grabbed off their webby hee) Unfortunately we ate it before I could take a decent shot of it.
