My birthday this year was was my most memorable one to date. It wasn't spent with any passing group of friends through some random phase of my life. It was a celebration with people I hold close to my heart. (:
Just to sidetrack, I've only two other memorable birthdays. The first was when I was 5. I had my very own McDonald birthday celebration~! The dream birthday celebration of every other kid my age. (: I don't really remember much about it tho hahah other than I enjoyed it SOOO MUCH and which kid doesn't love McDonalds right?? The other was when I was 22. Hahh I know it's sucha big gap right?? I don't really remember what happened in between. I guess it's just my goldfish memory hehh. Anyway, when I was 22, J organised a surprise celebration with 3 different gatherings with my 3 closest groups of friends in uni. And I got super alot of gifts! No one had ever done anything like that for me so I was really touched by all the love shown by my bf & friends. (: I think it's really sad now though, that i don't really see much of them anymore.. Stupid reasons actually.. But some fault lies with me too for never making the initiative before and still not making the initiative now. =/
Anyway, this is a happy post.. With super alot of pictures below.. (:
This birthday was one of the first birthdays in a long time spent single. I know.. It's sad in a way LOL. And then came the question of who to spend it with? My first thought was that I would love to spend it with the people dearest to me, my crossers, my family.
I was emo-ing abt my bday for quite awhile, and Eric took pity on poor ól me and told me he'd plan the bday celebration. =DDD
He refused to tell me anything, and kept saying that we would go Macs (coz I said I wanted the place to be halal) and that I would have to go on the reverse bungee -horrors of horrors- I have like a maaaaad fear of heights lah!
So, on my birthday itself Eric gave me strict instructions to wait for him at the Vivo bus stop. LOL. I could kind of guess why. =P
When I finally met him, he asked me if I wanted to eat beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, or monkey (yes monkey like wth right?!).. And that he made reservations at like 7 restaurants. We would go whereever I wanted to eat. So I said beef or smth. And he told me they were out of beef! another choice... dots. I found it really funny at that moment. I mean like he would have made me guess all the way to the last choice until I guessed the correct food for the place that we were going.
In the end, he brought me to Barcelos and I was so happy to see my team mates all seated there waiting for me to arrive. Everyone wished me and dinner was a straightfoward affair. I have never eaten at Barcelos before but I think ordering the quarter chicken wasn't sucha good idea. LOL. I heard the kebabs are good. Maybe next time.. (:
After dinner, they wanted to go to see the sights and they were like quite absorbed in looking out to see Sentosa. I realised like pretty soon.. where was Siew and Emelyne. HAHAH. I wanted to go to the washroom.. And I asked Eric if I could go, he said go la why not? I said really can go meh.. Then he gave me a look.. You know.. That kind of look like understanding dawned and a mix of dread. Then he said.. You just pretend ok?
And then suddenly Zak pulls me to take a picture. She wanted a pic of us facing the sea. I was like insisting that we should be facing the other way so we have a view of the pretty background, plus our faces would be shadow. I'm like how practical righttt? When she refused to turn the other way I had guessed what was going on already hahah.
And then I turn around and there's Siew and Em holding the cake, all lighted up already. And i'm like..Awww.. I totally wasn't expecting a cake. I just wanted to see my friends and spend my birthday with them.
Azrul and Meihui even got me a gift! It was a really thoughtful gift. I was really super touched. He bought me a book and meihui got me accessories. But you know, the best part of the gift were the post-its he threw in. They were those free sponsored post-its.. But they made me really really happy. I love collecting post its. And if you buy me those nice pretty ones, they end up in one box where i store all my post it and never get used. The best is to give me ugly post its with logos on them and I can anyhow use them on everything and anything. heehee.
This wasn't even the best part of the night. Zak, Siew, Meihui, Eric, Madan & Azrul decided to go clubbing with me to celebrate my bday. I brought them to attica and I think everybody enjoyed themselves! We had super alot of free drinks, music was good. In the end I was the one that made all of them leave coz I was os tired and I had work the next day.. My fellow crossers aren't really clubbers, so it really made me go Awwww-I'm-so-touched when they decided to all go clubbing together.

The Tinsel Rack Let's Play Reversi Tunic in Orange/Nude
I love love love love both this top & skirt. Everybody loved my outfit and kept asking me where my skirt/top was from.
The colour of my top was awesome. I loved how bright it was and it instantly made me happy. I like that it is reversible too! I can wear it the other way (: I already have this in Navy/Magenta, but I'm so tempted to go look for more!
The skirt is fabulous and totally value for money. It has that kind of sheen that makes it look very expensive and I like how the pleats fall down such that I don't have to suck my tummy in after eating a full meal hahah!
