Phin's Steakhouse

I finally got to do one of the things I've been planning to do with my first month's pay.

I took Xiuting out to dinner. =D

She's taught me a lot about what it means to be a true friend and I'm so thankful I have her in my life. (:

So at her recommendation, we went to Bugis for dinner. We went to this little shop along Liang Seah street called Phin's Steakhouse. It was a quaint little shop with few tables and very little staff. It looked like those newly opened restaurants trying to make their mark in sg's f&b industry. But they were quite crowded, people kept walking in and out looking/waiting for a table.

I liked that they had petite portions for the steak. (: we both got the petite ribeyes which was just nice for both of us.

Random thoughts in bed.

I'm blogging from the iPhone now. It's so hard to type! >.<

I'm getting my first full month's pay next week! I'm so excited about it! These past few weeks at work hadn't exactly been a breeze.. I mean there's ups and downs. Good days and bad days. Stressful ones are aplenty. but I think overall I am quite happy. (: my colleagues are very nice and helpful, always answering my many queries patiently so that I understand. even if they have explained to me before, they would go through the processes with me step by step. I think that I'm very lucky to have such colleagues (:

Granted, each of our works are very individually tasked based and we just need to ensure that we finish our own work. There's very little team interaction/working together. Initially I was quite sad about it, but I realise it all creates less problems in general. There's no need to make political plays and be on your guard around others. You can just be yourself (:

I was exceptionally happy today I felt like I became closer to my colleagues. I introduced them to several dotcom blogshops. There were all so excited an happily exclaiming how cheap and nice the stuff were.I showed them the blogshops and explained ti them how ti set up an acct etc and let them browse through the list. they were so happy to have found such good bargains they made me feel happy too (: I'm such blogshop guru, I'm the best person who should be showing them this kind of thing. (:

Abit too sleepy to blog Le. I hope working relationships w my colleagues will get better in future. (:

The weekend!

This weekend was one of my first good weekends in a long long while! (= Nothing really special happened actually, it's just one where I felt totally at ease and enjoyed spending time with my friends. No depressing thoughts plaguing my every minute. I felt carefree and finally released of the burden that bothers my almost every waking moment. 

I went down to support the team at their last race at Bedok. I was their 'other' photographer haha. I don't really like the label. It's as though I'm obligated to take pics. I just like having nice good quality pics. So since I was there, and I have a good camera, I should show my support by taking pics.. zzzz.

I spammed a lot of running shots, but that's for facebook.

I met up with Eric and Madan (calvin pangseh-ed) for the movie King's Speech the next day.

Judging by the poster and all the awards.. You'd think it would be a very boring movie. I mean yes of course their acting must be excellent in order to win awards, but those kind of movies tend to get a bit too deep and then lose you completely.

Thankfully the movie was, in my opinion, really quite good. It had its moments of uhhhhh?? what's going on? hahah. but it eventually pulled through and I loved it!

I really enjoyed my HTHT session with Eric.. (Madan left at dinner). I guess since I'm not exactly close with my batch mates, I have no one to talk to about issues that plague the recently-graduated. The future is so uncertain and the everyone has gone onto their different paths. I always wonder what on earth am I doing with my life? Anyway, it just felt good to talk to someone who understands all the uncertainties and the possibilities of what lies ahead.

Short Update!

I'm so tired.

I have been having trouble sleeping these past few nights.. And today I nearly died at work. Thank god the big boss (who sits right next to me) wasn't in office today. *phew* ;)

Anyway, I have been doing too much blogshopping again hahha. What am I to do? I mean like.. Every blogshop is having Post-CNY sale right now.. gotta capitalize right?
