TeamNUS Nite 2010

So Wednesday was TeamNUS Nite 2010. I have been looking forward to this since July, when I got the sms from Mel Tan confirming that I won the Team Player of the Year for Cross. (:

I was so excited to go for this event and take pictures with my fellow team mates who have been awesome friends to me this one year.. (: was a little upset this was held on a weekday, so some people had classes, and like Eric had to work. :(

Anyway, will let the pics do most of the talking..

Review for Dress:

I thought really long and hard in deciding what dress to wear to this event. I wanted to look fashionable and classy. My intention was to look good, but not trashy in your typical skin-tight bandage dresses. I was really glad to find this dress from Ladiesconcept and I knew it would be perfect for this event!

Firstly, the cutting of this dress gave off a classy Grecian vibe, and the tie-ribbon at the back was subtly sexy. Not to mention the colour of the dress is one of the most fashionable hues of nude/champagne this season. The material was also extremely comfortable and fairly durable, so I did not have to be too cautious moving about.

Matched with simple black shoes and accessories, this dress was just perfect for the occasion of dressing up and putting everyone elses' outfits to shame. :P

Almost Midweek

Nothing really interesting been happening.. Loathe to blog hehh.

As of today. I've been through 4 interviews, and I have mixed feelings about these jobs. It's pretty stressful to go through so many interviews, and there are so many more to come! rahhh.. I still feel uneasy about what career path to take, but I won't jump to the first one that comes along, so I'm making the best decision possible given the circumstances. (:

Just to end off this entry, I'm really excited about tmr's TEAMNUS night wootss~~! I specially went to go buy these two items for the event heehee. (:

This is like my favourite nail polish brand! I love all the colours I've gotten so far! Hopefully the black will go with the whole outfit. (:

I had the misfortune to meet the most nonsense driver ever hahaha.

Stupid woman actually high beamed from behind.. from another lane! And she didn't even high beam like once.. She did it 2-3 times. SUPERR irritating. Red colour suzuki red plate. (dammit I should have taken the car plate number down)

So when she finally overtook (at a speed of  >120k per hour), I high beamed her back! TWICE heehee just for revenge. Nonsense woman that she was decided to take revenge, so behind and high beam me for a good 5 seconds before zooming off at a ridiculous speed.

Gosh talk about nonsense drivers. -.-'''''

Did I mention there was a kid in the back seat??

Putting the child at risk like that... *tsk tsk* What an irresponsible driver! I really pity that kid.. Impulsive irrational parent!

I know it's not nice for me to say this but I hope she gets into an accident one day! Wake up her stupid idea.

Melancholia & Nostalgia

Sometimes I feel I have too much free time.

Yes that's why I'm going to find a job. So that I can do something productive with my life, earn lots of money, buy lots of things to make me a happy girl haha.

I wonder if these feelings will be better once I have a job *sighs*. Right now I feel like I'm overreliant on my cross team mates. Like.. I'm using them to fill up the gap that were once my friends in business school. I have broken all contact with all friends from bizad. Whyyyy??

I don't rightly know.. I think they have broken contact with me too. Like they take his side? I mean.. I get it I really do. But how much time has to pass before they will willingly seek me out for my company? Then again, I think I did this to myself. I was content to be their friend through J, and not by any other means.

I keep seeing photos, status updates, wall-to-walls, all spamming my minifeed, and I feel so excluded. I kinda miss hanging out with my friends but like.. I don't know how to begin. :(

Then there are the juniors I thought I was close to. Did I distance myself from them too? Is the perceived 'generation' gap only put there by me? Why do they not contact me? :(

I am a horrible friend. I hate smsing.. and smses are like the most direct contact possible already.. short of calling.

I always get caught up in my life at the moment.. How do I keep grounded to those that are impt to me?

I'm so glad Cheng and Jit bother to call me up to meet up. I am sucha sucky friend and yet they make me feel like I'm someone important in their lives..

I miss xt. She's been asking me out too but I've been to absorbed in my own little world to meet up with her. That will have to change!

Wanted to do a short photo log of people impt to me.. Who have made a difference in my life.. Think will do so later. I just spent like 4 hours picking and uploading/grabbing from fb! >.<

Bubble Tea

I was at Clementi with gc today, and we had a cute little conversation about bubble tea. :P

ME: Eyyy they have KOI bubble tea here! Let's go buy! (:
GC: What is so special about Koi Bubble tea? Is it like sweet talk? I've never tried it before.. I heard it always got long queue"
ME: ........................

I was speechless for like one full minute coz i'm like wondering how is it that he has not tried this phenomenal drink that has got the whole singapore crazy queuing for more. Then, I finally came up with an analogy to explain why KOI is so wildly popular.

ME: well... KOI is like the Zara of Bubble Tea and Sweet Talk is like Cotton On.

that makes the bubble tea shop at my place like some obscure china import shop. hehhhh. :P

My Love Affair with Ramen

I used to have all sorts of food cravings in the past. My favourite foods were Xiao Long Baos, Popcorn, Laksa, Orh Luat, Bak Kuh Teh, Sushi, Bubble tea.. etc.. :P

Now.. for some reason.. it seems like the only cravings I have is for Ramen. (and bubble tea :P) And I've been frequenting Ajisen quite a bit ($$$!).. =X

This is my no1 favourite Cha Shu Ramen!

Cheap and good! $10 before ++, Cha Shu is soft and tender. Soup is galicky, salty and oh-so-yumss! :D

I went there during the lunch period and you can get an additional ala-carte item plus drink with your ramen for only an additional $0.90! You can view the promotion here. (:

And so I tried the Cuttlefish and the California Maki for sides.

The Cuttlefish was quite decent, but the California Maki had absolutely no flavour. I don't know if the rice was lacking in vinegar or whatt. >.< There was just no taste when you chew on the maki except for the soya sauce. -.-''

Note to self: NEVER order california maki in Ajisen. zzz..

I also tried other flavours and I think the Nankotsu Ramen is mad love! Picture doesn't look that appetising hehh but it's very very tender and so nice to eat! If i recall correctly.. It's supposed to be some kind of Pork tendon hhaha.

I've also tried their most expensive flavour - Tontoro Ramen ($12++), and I was very disappointed! :( The picture looks awesome here heehee.. But the tontoro was a bit dry, overfried, and wasn't juicy the way tontoro slices should be.

Yupyup.. I only ever eat at Ajisen except for that one time I went to Yoshumaru Ramen Bar at Holland V (coz the katong laksa closed early at 9.40!).

Their ramen is supposedly different from the typical ramen. It's said to be thinner and firmer, but stupid me couldn't really tell the difference. Ramen is ramen, I have tried any soup or noodles that I don't like yet haha.

I ordered the cheapest one (lol), the DIY Hakata Ramen. Basically it's the most basic of Ramen, and I can decide which toppings I want to add on.. Of course each topping costs $$ so I just ordered it plain. It already comes with the chashu inside so there's still some meat and flavour to the noodles. (:

Before the ramen came, they gave me this cute little mortar and pestle with sesame seeds inside! I was supposed to grind it while waiting for my ramen to come, then put in inside my soup. I tried it with and with the sesame and haha once again I could not tell the difference. LOL

Well, at least I think that my ramen was nice! ahahaha.

Would definitely come again to this one for my late night cravings! (:

Hollywood is like High School with Money

Been crazy addicted to this web series lately. It's similar to Gossip Girl, but different loooll. There's a lot of drama, and backstabbing etc. Things you just feel very entertained to watch. Plus the female leads are all quite pretty and dress well heehee. :D

Argh.. They aren't uploading fast enough for my liking tho! Just one more till the final episode! (I can't wait!!!)
