The weekend!
This weekend was one of my first good weekends in a long long while! (= Nothing really special happened actually, it's just one where I felt totally at ease and enjoyed spending time with my friends. No depressing thoughts plaguing my every minute. I felt carefree and finally released of the burden that bothers my almost every waking moment.
I went down to support the team at their last race at Bedok. I was their 'other' photographer haha. I don't really like the label. It's as though I'm obligated to take pics. I just like having nice good quality pics. So since I was there, and I have a good camera, I should show my support by taking pics.. zzzz.
I spammed a lot of running shots, but that's for facebook.
I'm just going to put the group photos and the funny photos.. (=
Our guys team just before the start.. All looking so fresh.
Our girls team.. they were halfway stretching when I wanted to take this pic so they just gathered on the floor lol.
They look very cute tho. ;)
Guinea Pig to test my shutter speed HAHA. (conclusion: shutter speed too slow)
Post-race photos. All the Girls!
I was so happy I saw my JC coaches there. I think it's pretty awesome that they are still teaching/coaching. (=
The graduating and the graduated. LOL
Fooling around.. This photo just has so many things going on. I cant help myself from bursting out laughing whenever I look at it. =P
"The three tallest guys on the team".. according to them.. =P
Fellow supporter! we wore the same shirt!
They missed you mei..
We swept up all the prizes..

This is EPIC. I love this photo to bits.
That's abt all the photos I'm uploading for the race.
It was a good day.. good day. *smiles*

I met up with Eric and Madan (calvin pangseh-ed) for the movie King's Speech the next day.
Judging by the poster and all the awards.. You'd think it would be a very boring movie. I mean yes of course their acting must be excellent in order to win awards, but those kind of movies tend to get a bit too deep and then lose you completely.
Thankfully the movie was, in my opinion, really quite good. It had its moments of uhhhhh?? what's going on? hahah. but it eventually pulled through and I loved it!
I took this pic outside my lift hahah.. One of the rare times i'm wearing jeans AND a shirt out.
(I normally like pretty frocks and spag tops & shorts)
Here I am sitting inside one of the shoe shops while Eric is looking at shoes..
With Madan..
Here we are again.. This time waiting for Eric in British India lol...
camwhore in the toilet hahah i love my outfit.
There was this really cool artsy display at ION.
I sometimes wish we could have pretty graffiti in Singapore..but if we allow them, then vandalism would be quite rampant too. :((
Littleredheels HAS REALLY CHEAP SHOES!!! (no no I convinced myself not to buy. =P)
Dinner at Tonkichi. I didn't eat coz I had no appetite. But ERic let me try his food. It's pretty awesome.. I would definitely go there another time. (=
I was finally hungry after the dinner, and I got my fav Black Sesame Ice cream yays!! (=
After dinner beer at Brotzeit. I ♥ paulaner beer! -happy-
I really enjoyed my HTHT session with Eric.. (Madan left at dinner). I guess since I'm not exactly close with my batch mates, I have no one to talk to about issues that plague the recently-graduated. The future is so uncertain and the everyone has gone onto their different paths. I always wonder what on earth am I doing with my life? Anyway, it just felt good to talk to someone who understands all the uncertainties and the possibilities of what lies ahead.

Movies!
In a moment of utter boredom.. I googled "Top 10 movies of 2010" for some inspiration for movies to watch..
I clicked the first link I found and hoped they had some interesting movies on that list.. No gore and horror, nor any draggy action movies for me. ;)
I eventually decided on watching this..
and this..
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Goooooood movie! :D I liked it a lot.. Maybe it's the fantasy thingy.. Like air/earth/water/fire bending.. It's surreal.. I just found myself so absorbed in the story.. And it was definitely more informative about the background of the Avatar than watching random episodes off Nickelodeon.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
I have no idea what's the purpose of the movie. I only watched it coz Starworld kept raving about it.. But it seemed so fake and rubbish. The characters are all so weird and idiotic. I kept wondering when it was going to end! >.< They had some really funny effects tho to make it seem more comic-book like.. It was probably the only thing I liked about the movie.
Thinking of more movies to watch.. Any suggestions?
(oh and yahh I just watched HP6 to prepare to watch HP7 in the movies! :D)

The Social Network & Mark Zuckerberg
I am a officially a fan of Mark Zuckerberg.
Yup.

I watched the movie and felt a little mehhh... But like after talking about it with gc (who I would say is a potential mark zuckerberg hurhur), I realised that Mark's passion for what he believed in was like a driving force that propelled facebook to be what it is today. I mean like his friend kept asking him abt business model, advertisers etc etc but his primary focus was to make something cool. To bring social interactions online. and thus I developed a new appreciation for the movie. :P
The movie actually portrayed his character to be quite socially inept and a little heartless.. and I felt so ugh towards him after watching the movie. But like.. I got so curious to find out more about the validity of the things said in the movie and like the tendency to put Mark in a bad light and Eduardo in a positive light. So I did a little research and realised that the movie was highly influenced by the book The Accidental Billionaires which Eduardo contributed and Mark didn't.
NO WONDER IT SEEMED SO BIAS... :P
I also found this very interesting article from BusinessInsider about The Full Story Of How Facebook Was Founded. Gives you a new perspective on the movie and what actually happened. ;)
Here's a video, also from BusinessInsider, of an interview of Mark Zuckerberg last year before the movie became famous. I found it to be pretty interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. Makes me feel like starting my own business too! ahhaaha towards the end it gets a bit technical though. I only watched half of it.. hehh. :P
Yup.
[Spoiler alert!]

SALT!
At my mum's facebook urgings: SALT.. must watch! Great action packed movie!, I decided to watch SALT online today.. And I'm left with a little mixed feelings about the show.
the bad:
- It was super cliched, i could predict what she was going to do next and why she did the things she did before the movie played the scene.
- It was like HOW unrealistic! For example, it's not possible for one person to take out so many other pple without being winded.. Not to mention taking down those big strong men working for an elite organisation with just one strike.. :P
the good:
- I could really emphasize with her character and her motivations and that was what made the movie enjoyable to me. (:
