Facial Foam Review

I figured that since I'm such a skincare freak, I should try my hand at beauty reviews... But then if I think about it.. I actually barely have any time to sit in front of my computer let alone time to think through and actually formulate a review on a product.

That said, I still wanted to do this for myself. I wanted to jot down my thoughts on the different products that I've tried so I know to buy or not to buy the same product again!

I want to share 2 of my current favourite facial foams. I hate those gel/menthol ones that always burn up my eyes. I have developed a preference for cream-based cleansers coz I feel they leave my skin feeling clean and moisturised at the same time!

Kose Infinity Pure Advance Clear Up Wash **favourite!**

This is currently my favourite cleanser! I use a very small amount, like half a fingernail, and it is enough for my whole face! I only need to lather it 2 rounds, and it is sufficient to remove all the dirt and oil from my face! I have had horrible cleansers that do not remove the makeup remover properly and I had to wash my face another 1-2 more times afterwards! Best part of this cleanser was my skin was left feeling clean and not dry. This is really important for me as I have sensitive skin and it gets really itchy when it is dry.

It is currently selling at most departmental stores at $43. I'm using those small free samples and I love it to bits. And since I use so little each time, I can use it for a very long time!

Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist

This cleanser from Belif comes a close second on my list of favourite cleansers. Like the above one from Kose, it has a creamy texture and is not drying. I especially love that smell of it.. If I had to pick cleanser with the best smell, this would win hands down! It cleanses very thoroughly and I use a standard amount each time to wash my face. Why this isn't taking first place is it does not have that moisturised feel that the Kose one leaves behind after washing off... But all in all it's still a pretty awesome product.

I didn't buy this as I tried this out in a 3ml sample. They are really generous with their samples. I checked online though and it's selling for $33 at Tangs and I would assume the same price in the Belif stores.

Cheers, and I hope you enjoyed this review!

ZA True White Foundation

Hohoho here I am participating in another online competition!

I took a picture with my ZA True White Liquid Foundation, currently my favourite foundation everrr! This one glides on smoothly and doesn't lump together like other brands I've used before. A big plus also it evens out my skin tone, making me look fairer hurhur.

What's up for grabs is a ZA True White Two-Way Foundation case.

I hope I win. They never mentioned what the judging criteria would be.. =/

Facial Masks!

Okayy this is damn random but I've decided to give 'beauty' posts a try. hehh.. I was inspired by Xiaxue's latest Advertorials on Lovemore facial masks, as well as Cozycot's email some time back asking people to sign up to be a beauty reviewer. Not saying that I will be very detailed and do tons of reseach into this post. It's just a small post on the masks that I currently have and my opinion on them.

Let me start off first by stating that I'm superrrr budget about alot of things that I buy. I cannot seem to justify spending more than a dollar per mask.

I mean, you put them on for what.. 20mins tops? and then throw them away?? I seriously don't understand how Neutrogena can sell one box of 5 masks for $30+!

Hence masks featured here are $1 or less each heehee. :D

This was one of the first masks I bought to try out. I bought it at one of those member-only mega sales ~$6. Now it's supposedly on sale with two boxes going for $19.90, but that's still $1.66 per mask. hehh.

Each mask contains 30ml of essence which is super ALOT! And it felt good having it on for the duration of 20minutes. It was drenching your face in all kinds of goodness lol.

The mask was a little hard to put on though as it had bubbles popping up here and there.. And it smelled kinda funny. =/

Worst part was after removing the mask, you know how you're supposed to massage the essence into your skin and not wash it off?? Well, the residual essence was quite sticky and mad it very uncomfortable to sleep with.. =(

I bought this from a Bigdeal.com. Supposedly, retail price is $26.40 for 12, but the current promotion was selling 12 for $10! I thought, why not just buy to try it out..? Since it was such a good 'offer'.

Whilst I was quite please to receive such a wide variety of facial masks, I was really disappointed with the quality.

I guess just because Korea is famous for their facial products, doesn't mean that everything from Korea would be good. =/ Each packet contained 25g of essence (which translates to 25ml i guess), but it seemed dry. It was really difficult to put on and it kept folding back up along the creases..

I really regretted buying this from bigdeal. :( Now how am I supposed to finish up the remaining 11 packets ughhhh...

I was buying some random stuff from Watsons today when I saw that amazing "BUY 1 GET 1 FREE" sign. I was already at the cashier and the stand with the facial masks was quite far away.. But it was too good to pass up and I made the cashier wait for me to grab these 2 boxes from that faraway corner.

It was originally selling for $7.90 per box, but buy one get one free, and not only that, Wastons is having 7% off storewide for the month of March! I effectively paid $7.35 for 10 pieces, you can do the math.

Throughout the journey home, I wondered whether I would eventually regretting this impulse buy. I mean it's not like I needed it. I had 11 pieces of that stupid Korean brand still waiting to be finished at home. Not to mention another box from HK which I had yet to use.

I loved this mask. The cloth of the mask was so soft and easy to apply. 23ml of essence was more than enough which I could still pour on after putting on the mask. And the best part is after removing the mask, the remaining essence isn't sticky or smelly! My face feels so soft and smooth! I will definitely sleep like a baby later.

I'm so happy with these 2 impulse buys I'm soooo tempted to go back and buy all the different types from that brand. :D
