Cross events

Nothing much been happening lately so not much updates here. :P

Spent 2 weekends this month going to cross events (:

IVP
The girls lost the championship this year, but NUS still managed to win mens and overall. (:

It was really exiting to watch some of the races. Madan is still the defending IVP champ in his pet events. Watched Eugene / Justin / Kaiming and Noman fight it out for 3K, 5K and Steeple (which we lost all the golds to NTU >.<) and stayed to the final event of 4x400m which was superrrr eggciting! TP had a ~150m lead on NUS sometime during the race, but our last runner from NUS (superr imba) managed to close that gap and eventually overtake her. :D

Akira Swift Relay
Eric formed his own team of graduates to participate in this relay.. He thought a medal would be easy picking seeing as how there are usually very few teams signing up for these races.. but he didn't expect the Gurkhas to form THREE teams and sweep the top prizes.

To think back on it, it was a really sad day for NUS.. The girls was misinformed by the stupid road marshals to take the wrong route.. Hence almost being disqualified and eventually getting last placing.. The guys had fierce competition as there were 24 men's open teams. Only one out of our 4 teams managed to get any prizes.. AND WE DIDN'T WIN A SINGLE LUCKY DRAW WTF!!!

Five teams worth of lucky draw names and not a single one was drawn. Small groups of 1 or 2 teams managed to get like 3-4 lucky draw prizes.

It's a conspiracy i tell you..

Nike Race / SUNIG

almost every single day from the day I signed up for the Nike race, to the actual day, I wondered why did I do this to myself??

I'm always so tired from work at the end of the day and I'm not the least bit interested in running / exercising and only doing it coz I should. But was signing up for a race really necessary? I mean I signed up for 1 hour of intense agony (possibly more).. a month of training..  and a week's worth of body aches post race. eep. 

After a month's worth of half-hearted training, it was finally D-Day. omgggggg I was freaking nervous can???

Tricia asked me before the race.. "Below one hour okay?" I'm like oooooo we try lor.. but deep down i was like no way la not possible. hahah.

Anyway, we did it! I managed to finish in 57:55mins!! WHEEEEEE~~~~~~ SUB 58 LEHHHH! I couldn't have done it without you mei. :D

Cross Grads!

WOOHOO I'm so happy today. (:

I organised a gathering for a few of us graduated crossers today and everyone I asked turned up! :D

It was quite sad to be one out of the the only 2 crossers who graduated last year and it was so hard to meetup with the rest of the team especially when everyone was busy studying etc.. But I think this year ~10 of them graduated together so now I have more cross buddies to hang out with! :D

I decided to start small and ask those who I felt were more likely to come.. AND THEY ALL CAME WOOHOOO!!!

Cross Happenings..

Been seeing quite a bit of the crossers lately. (:

Mooncake Festival is just round the corner and the girls made mooncakes for the team on Sunday. So sweet hor??? (: Just nice I went to MacR the day they were making the mooncakes so I got roped in to help out. I didn't really do much, just roll some paste, squeeze some dough. I mostly just took photos. (:

Making mooncakes is awesome fun. Didn't think I would enjoy it but surprisingly it was loads of fun. (:
