I woke up at an ungodly hour of 9am to go to the polyclinic today.. (I slept at like 4am)
Mum took me to there to get a referral for my super-dry, old-woman-like-hands. She only left the house at 10! *&^$&*^%!!! I could have slept another half hour.. lol.
Anyway, I haven't gone to a polyclinic in awhile.. Always been using the UHC one for the past few years.. And my gosh the wait was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG. >.<
I went to one counter, then another.. Then waited more than an hour for the doctor.. Small talk.. long-winded talk.. Next to another room to get my appointment at the National Skin centre.. Then queue for the meds.. and queue for payment. Wow this is like Service Ops in play haha. Queuing model. :P
Finally got home around 12.30 and I got to eat mum's cooking.. Fried Beehoon.. nothing fancy heehee. I guess i was starving. (:
And so, my day ends here at 2.10pm. I am going to sleep, then maybe joining the crossers for dinner. (:

Lunch with Cheng Siew
I met up with Cheng Siew for lunch today. We ate the student happy hour special at Swensens. $9.80 for any food item plus drink!
Gosh.. I haven't met up with her in like whattt.. One year?
Some kind of friend I am.. Will always forget about my long-time friends. Only interested in hanging out with my current friends. What would happen when I finally get a job? Would I then only spend time with my colleagues and forget about my team mates? I sure hope not.. My team mates mean a lot to me.. =/
Anyway Cheng and I have been in the same school since foreverrrr. First RGPS, Crez, JJ then NUS. I think it's pretty cool we have taken the same long-winded path to get to where we are ahahah. But we only became friends friends in Sec 3/4.. When we were in the same class. Somehow we had the same outer circle of friends.. And one day we were both so sick of studying in the container classroom, she dragged me out to play basketball.. her then all-time favourite sport.
It was through her I developed my love for the sport and went on to play in Jc, despite my horrible lack of skill ahah. Anyway, I guess it was through these basketball sessions in secondary and jc that truly cemented our friendship. (:
Cheng actually saw my status update on facebook sometime last week and called me to see if I was ok and if i needed to talk. I thought that was really nice of her.. Sometimes pple just sms or fb msg you.. Or wait till they see you.. so yea. We eventually set a date to meet up and have lunch.
So we met up at Jurong Point and I was horribly late! Sigh... What happened to my resolution to be punctual always?!? >.<
We had lunch at Swensens at around 3plus.. I ordered one of the sourdough sandwiches - Cheese Steak Meltdown.
The sandwich was much better than i expected! I really liked it.. And it was quite a good deal coz it's selling price was $14+.
And i realised that actually that the student deal wasn't the best deal.. If we had gone earlier we could have had the 1-for-1 deal!
Oh well. Now we know ahaha.
We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and walking the entire area of Jurong Point. I was so tired by the end of the day.
We set a date and place for our next outing already. :D We're going Ikea for lunch followed by walking the whole of Queensway looking for specs and sportswear! (:

SALT!
At my mum's facebook urgings: SALT.. must watch! Great action packed movie!, I decided to watch SALT online today.. And I'm left with a little mixed feelings about the show.
the bad:
- It was super cliched, i could predict what she was going to do next and why she did the things she did before the movie played the scene.
- It was like HOW unrealistic! For example, it's not possible for one person to take out so many other pple without being winded.. Not to mention taking down those big strong men working for an elite organisation with just one strike.. :P
the good:
- I could really emphasize with her character and her motivations and that was what made the movie enjoyable to me. (:

Neoprints!
I found some old neo prints from Allison's visit last year.. (: The 4 of us Biz people - Phasit, Zhiwei, Jared and I, went out with her and brought her around during her stay for 10 days! We were super pok kai after that ahaha.
And here are the way cooler shots! We got to take each shot twice (:
the most normal looking neo. :P
I have no idea what we're doing here. We look unprepared. :P

This one is my favourite! I love the bird cage and how we're like all stuck inside.
This one is messy lol.

Sarah's Farewell
I'm so sad Sarah has left for exchange. Among the girls in the team, she is prob one of the few that i would consider myself close to.. She is one who is without guile or pretense and that you know that she in sincere in her comments and actions.

Sunset Grill
Gosh I have a lot to say about this outing! Particularly wrt the journey there!
Firstly, 12 people put attending on facebook, and only 2 cars were 'confirmed'. Mine and Richard's. I had already secured the 5 people who would take my car, as they had agreed to share the cost with me. They were Madan, Gc, Alvin and Patrick. When I reached school to pick them up (at 6pm), only gc was there! But there were others, so we squeezed 7 pple into my car. Jovian in the front navigating, Gc, Sarah Lim, Cai Sang, Yong Qiang and Madan in the back.
And so with my car filled with 7 people, we were off to Seletar to get our Level 30 Buffalo Wings!
Following Jovian's directions to the restaurant, we had to take the AYE, then get onto the CTE... The thing is.. CTE was hopelessly jammed at 6plus. I had to give my full concentration to the traffic, moving the moment a gap appeared, as well as jam breaking when the joker in front of me stops suddenly. =/ It was not a pleasant journey.. all the way to PIE and then TPE was jammmmmmmmmmm!!
When I finally reached the exit, we were supposed to find Piccadilly Circus and go onto Piccadilly Road. Unfortunately when we reached, there was a roundabout (which we assumed was the circus) and we went in the opposite direction!
---------
Sendoff at the airport
Sarah had a 2355 flight on Friday night after training. I was still sick so I didn't go for training. Gc and Jovian picked me up from home! (:
Since Sarah is someone I considered dear to me, I bought her a parting gift! (the same I gave Mel and the other Bizad ppl)
Tada!
It wasn't much. Damn sad i didn't take picture of the final card and present! I put a lot of effort into it! ):
I gave her a little postcard and pasted small pinwheels on them. A very cheerful going-away card with some advice from the old bird. :P Basically the gist was to enjoy herself and do everything that she possibly can to immerse herself in the culture there. Anytime she has doubts about any particular activity, think about whether she will come back to Singapore and regret not doing it. She shouldn't come back with regrets..
So anyway, big group that we were.. We moved really slowly and we didn't really know what to do with ourselves while waiting for her to go into the customs area. :P
Group Photo!
After sending her off, we went to Bedok 85 for their famous soup Bak chor mee. :D happy happy. (:

Look at where we drove to!
damn far right?! we drove 2km off course and another 2 to go back. >.<
Nevermind. This next picture is even better...
See the arrow Piccadilly Rd? Can you see where the restaurant was ACTUALLY located??
Not only that, getting there was bloody difficult. The 4 blue blobs were blockages. We could not pass through! The pink route is the final route we took.. But we never would have found that on our own. Thank god we waited for Richard's car. We would have otherwise been stuck there indefinitely.
We finally reached at 8pm. The one hour we spent searching for the place, we got lost and took a drive around the area. -.-
After a harrowing 2 hours. I had no mood to eat.. :(
I ended up having 2x Level One Buffalo Wings.. Coward that i am. :P
No pictures of Level One, but i have one of Level 30! (:
Damn grosssss! Can you see all that chilli? You can smell the chilli before you even see them take the dish out!
And here's everybody who came! It was a really big gathering! (:
These are the few brave souls who tried at least ONE bite of the Level 30 buffalo wings lol.
Needless to say, some of them had diarrhea all night till the next morning. :P

I'm feeling good about today. (:
The last petrol tank had a mileage of 476km! Jie will be pleased. :D As i was leaving I waved bye to the very old uncle who helped me fill the tank, and he waved back rather happily. (: He seemed a little sad at first so it was nice to put a smile on his face.
I went to the track today to engage in some social activity with the team ahaha. I'm so lonely lols. Sick and cannot train UGH. I think I will have to give up on SUNIG. :(:(:( Heard siew was doing really well at training today, and they opened up SUNIG to the freshies..
sigh sigh sigh sigh.
Just as well I need to find a job!
Anw i felt good about today coz I had dinner with E, Gc, Jovian and Jackie (yes he's finally back!).
I really enjoy these after-training-dinners. (: I get to catch up on what's been happening to everybody and their other plans. (: Gc was so happy to see Jackie and kept talking to him non-stop. I felt happy for him ahaha.. It seems as though he really missed him heehee. :P
Driving into Queens, I waved to the security guard on duty, and he waved back at me with a smile. (: It's just a really nice feeling that a simple gesture would put a smile on someone's face.. And it just ends my day on a really good note! (:

Cross Camp!
The team had our very first cross camp this year. It was not meant to be a big-scale event, where we psycho hundreds of freshies into joining cross-country by showing them how fun and ra-ra we are over a period of 3-4 days. Instead, we had a cosy little affair, a simple 2D1N camp filled with relaxing activities and real interaction time between seniors and juniors.
I didn't have any real duties the first day. After training i took my own sweet time to shower and when i came back with my subway dinner (which didn't have lettuce coz they ran out!), the freshies and seniors were all playing games before the next activity of the night.
Yayyyy. I can cross out ONE event to blog about on my list already. (:
I think this entry a little poorly written tho. =X It's 6.28am now.teehee.

so here's gc stealing the limelight again.. doing a dare with a freshie
Hungry people.. :P
When i look at this, you realise that the young'uns have grown up. They can lead and manage things on their own already. lol. :P
A picture along the night run route by ben. (:
Eveready. I think they are even more ever-ready for camera shots than i am..
Seniors group photo! With ben the ghost. (:
The freshies had htht time at the supper place and played some mass games after. Fabian and I joined Zak's OG for awhile and they were really friendly to us. (: Got to know another ultra-marathoner (crazie person :P)... and shucks i cannot seem to remember the details of the other freshies. =X but at least i think i remember their names! (:
The mass games were a little weird, altho I think the freshies enjoyed themselves nonetheless. :D I felt v irritated with Nic and the way he interfered when B was leading the freshmen. sigh no point complaining about it. I was a little sad that the seniors had nothing to do but watch. It was actually very difficult for the seniors to just chap in coz we don't really know any of the freshies and we are like an outsider to their OG. =/
After supper, everyone walked back and I went back with the supper party to school (in the car! :D). From there, it was a little OTOT and the OGs and their respective OGLs brought them to shower at the different halls/residences. There again, seniors were left to our own devices with nothing to do. But we did have a plan.. well sorta. Jk and E had bought some alcoholic drinks and the jio-ed the seniors to go drink. A brought his own Chivas to drink too.
Sadly, we had to wait around 3plus before they were all back and ready to party. :D Yannick, Jovian, Jk, Jovin, A, Calvin, Gc, Jy, Richard, Sarah T, Eg, Yq all came out to chill. I enjoyed the Chang beer. :D it was niceeee! and not too gassy. (: We played music from my updated songlist in my Samsung teehee. Jovin and I just danced around to the music, and we played pass the ice. Basically when the music stops, whoever is holding the ice has to drink! (:
Unfortunately Yong Qiang got drunk. He was a happy drunk and so cute at that, but he went back to the MPSH and vomitted. And we got a major scolding for that the next day. :(( all my happy memories of that night have been totally wiped away. I had to think very hard before i could remember what i liked about that night..
Some good things did come out of that night.. After drinking, I went with Richard, A and Jovian to Macs for breakfast. (: I got to know Jovian and Richard much better after that interaction. Can't say exactly what about them that I know that makes me say that, but i get a sense that they've become my good friends and we would look out for one another. (:
The next morning, we were treated to a small brief by Azrul. Here's prof Azrul. :P
I tried very hard to sleep during his talk, not to show him disrespect or anything.. I was just very tired and couldn't catch any sleep due to my light-sleeper nature.
Next thing you know, instead of our 2-3hour lunch break, we're rushing off to tapao lunch and prepare for a last minute dry-run. zzz. The girls and I, driven by Richard, went off to Ginza Hawker centre to buy food and drinks for everybody. I brought them to buy $2 siew yoke and/or char siew rice and $1.20 bubble tea. (: cheappp hor?! teehee
We reached West Coast Park and ate our lunches while waiting for the guys to reach. I helped siew prep for her station by drawing wings and bananas on mahjong paper. how lame. :P
When we had about 5 or 6 pple avail and eaten, we started preparing for siew's station first. Me, Mel, Jovin and Jayanta did a dry-run on her station. Running up and down the rope pyramid like what the freshies would be doing later on.
So that's the matrix we were supposed to memorize..
Meiyi and Jovin on the course..
ever-helpful. :P
Moving on.. I like this look on Baldwin. :P
Here's my fellow Game IC ALVIN! It's quite a nice picture of him..
My helpers for our station. (: *tsk tsk* look at fabian's hand..
All hard at work. I felt soooooo bad for making them dig so long.. they couldn't find my little sheets of paper buried in the sand!
I had to modify my game quite significantly after that because it was so difficult to find all the little sheets of paper buried in the sand! My 'helpers' only found 3 out of the 7 sheets of paper, after digging for a long long long time.. Alvin and I dug for another 2 more hours before finding another 2 more. LOL.
Here's my little sheets of paper prepared the night before..

Anw, I koped pics from T and Ben from fb, and here are the pictures at the other stations. (:
